The Parks and Recreation portal provides access to information on both parks in the Omaha area as well as information on recreational activities and clubs. There are more than 200 parks covering more than 80,000 square acres with much open space to be used and appreciated. Memorial Park is located at 6005 Underwood on 67 acres. Former President William S Truman dedicated Memorial Park on June 5, 1948. This is a popular place to go sledding on a nice winter's day. Memorial Park contains many amenities that make it popular in Omaha. Floral displays and historical monuments make this park unique.
