The Joslyn Art Museum has been the principal fine arts museum in the state of Nebraska since its opening in 1931. Located in Omaha, it is the only museum in the state with a comprehensive permanent collection. Although it includes works from antiquity to the present day, its greatest strengths are in nineteenth and twentieth century American and European art. The Joslyn also has a very distinguished collection of art of the American West...(go to Joslyn Art Museum for more info!)
